Once we were deceived, living in darkness. The Thief tried to rob, steal and kill our destiny. Then, we came into the light. We received a promise, “a new life and life abundantly.” Within the abundance we have received, He also desires to bestow upon us, “joy.”
“Joy” can be embraced and experienced even in the midst of life’s unpleasant circumstances. However, we cannot experience “joy” while being preoccupied with earthly security, pleasure, or self-interest. Rather when our foundation is grounded in God, the focus shifts towards His interests, which brings meaning and purpose to our lives.
When there is a deep abiding in Jesus, a sense of God’s love envelopes our being. A strong sense of “joy” bubbles up within us, which propels us to share this experience with others. It is just too good to keep for ourselves alone! “Joy” is then two-fold!
There is no greater “joy” then to tell another about God’s wonderful love! Even the angels experience “joy” when a sinner repents!
Let us redirect our gaze upon the Lord and experience Him deeply. Expect a supernatural “joy” to rise up from within you with the desire to tell others of His great love, joy and peace!
Surely an abundance of ‘joy’ is destined for you!
But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11 (NIV)
