Evangelist Colleen Wheeler gave her heart-warming testimony during our 2008 Annual American Cancer Society Asian Initiative/Gifts of Love Event to more than 200 attendees including 160 cancer patients, survivors, and their families. They listened to Colleen's testimony about her salvation experience, repentance, God's forgiveness, cancer treatment and her miraculous healing. Her testimony was so real’ as Colleen spoke many were so touched, tears filled in their eyes, as she warmly sympathized with and related to the struggles and pains endured by cancer patients, survivors, and families. Evangelist Colleen has been touching our lives and our Church in ways that only God can do. We began colaboring with LOTHM in February, 2008 with the "LOVE OF JESUS" event, since then, she has been to our church several times to preach and to teach evangelism. Since I've been taking this class, I find it much easier to talk to somebody about Jesus. When I use the "Specific Question", it shocks people and really makes them think. Before taking the class, I had no idea on how to lead somebody to Jesus. And all I would do was hand out a tract and say, "God bless you." Now, however, I find myself actually getting into conversations with people and flowing in the power of the Holy Spirit. -Asia

“A mighty move of God swept through the MALL AREA today, it was one of the most awesome days in evangelism that I have experienced in a long while.” -Colleen

We rolled down the window and asked, "Excuse me, do you know how to get to heaven from here?" Then answered, "Jesus does,” then we gave them a tract. -Colleen

We drove led by the Spirit and ended up in a drug-infested area. I grabbed the speaker and microphone out from my trunk and began to preach while the team talked to people and gave tracts. One person prayed to receive Jesus many others listened to the word. -Colleen

"I saw Jesus working through His disciples--His brothers and sisters--and touching the lives of others in ways, which alternately mystified them, challenged them, and yet blessed them. There was relational evangelism taking place as people fellowshipped with one another. When I spoke to some who raised their hands to receive Jesus they spoke about how much it meant to have us connect to them--and that they wanted our source of joy. Moreover, there were those who asked real questions about Jesus in the wake of the evening--and I was blessed to see that things were being "churned up" in their hearts and minds." -Carrie

BROOKLYN, NY/CONEY ISLAND BOARDWALK, 7 received the Lord!

When I first started preaching a man ran right to the front of the stage and lifted his hands to heaven--- he wanted to be saved! 4 children prayed to receive Jesus during the Good News Glove Show. -Colleen

I preached, non-stop for over 45 minutes. A very handsome body builder rode his bike to the tent and told me that he was a Catholic. I talked to him about Gods grace...prayed for him. His countenance changed...he appeared to be touched the Holy Spirit. I told him the importance of growing in his relationship with God and invited him to a service. -Colleen

The security guard asked if he could have a pamphlet. He wanted to know more about Jesus, I gave him a tract and a gospel of John. Two police officers were sitting at the table having lunch. I told them I could not leave there until I told them about the love of Christ. They said OK! -Colleen

Carmen shared her first time testimony from the stage and the power of God poured out and a preaching anointing rose up from within her!!! -Colleen

Pastor Gary from Revival New York had 7 or 8 encounters with people in ministering dream interpretation! -Colleen

I spoke to a newlywed couple from Arkansas about the Lord...she was awakened to God's love through her new born baby---she knew that only God could have created her son. -Herb

The LORD put on my heart to go over to a girl sitting on a bench. I had a CD with me and said to her, "The LORD put this on my heart to come over to you and bless you with this CD" She was very touched and believed the LORD purposed her to come on this day! -Debbie

I met a mother and began telling her about Jesus. I shared if God has the power to resurrect someone from the grave, then He has the power to resurrect the dead areas in her life. Her eyes watered just a little, and when she smiled, I knew she got it. -Holly

QUEENS, NY/FLUSHING MEADOW CORONA PARK 37 received the Lord!

The thing the really excited me was the girls from Teen Challenge, they never complained as they painted faces on children, passing out tracts, or when they performed their Human Video dance in the very hot sun! -Herb

I walked up to families and asked if I could share a message of God's love with them. I sat down with a Hindu family of 7and talked about how much God loves them, although they did not receive Jesus they received prayer & tracts... We spoke to a Chinese family we left the conversation in love...later another team went to them and one received the Lord! One precious Catholic lady prayed to receive Jesus. Two young ladies prayed to received Jesus; one wore a skull shirt and had several facial piercings. The two gentlemen on my team lead two Spanish ladies and one man to the Lord!!! -Colleen

The sister from Gateway in Connecticut and me reached out to a man who said he is a Jew. After delivering the word, he was convinced that he needed Christ in his life. We met with another man who said that he has God in his heart, but will not go church, he promised to revisit his decision. -Pastor Mike

There were many instances that touched and encouraged my heart during the event, but I would have to say one of the most memorable things about the outreach was the way people knew that they needed something more in their hearts but they were not sure if it was God and the Lord Jesus. I personally was able to lead some people to the Lord who questioned "church format" but knew they needed God/Jesus in their lives. It was amazing to hear them acknowledge that they did not understand everything about God but they felt it would be wise to get to know him by accepting Him into their hearts. The Gospel got preached; people got saved, healed and delivered on that day. Thank The Lord. Amen! -Pastor Damian

We offered Glenn something to drink as he passed by on his bike. Denise and I began to witness to him and he asked if we could pray for his back because of chronic pain. The power of GOD really began to minister to him as GOD released some words of knowledge and his heart was opened and he began to cry and receive healing in his back and rededicated his heart to the Lord. Then he was open and decided to stay and have lunch with the outreach team, he thanked us for being there! -Mattie & Denise

There was a man who was really tough, fresh in the streets, who saw what we were doing in the park. He was totally hostile towards us but I decided to speak to him regardless. In 5 minutes his whole demeanor changed but he still had no desire for the Lord. Eventually I asked him if we could pray anyway. He said, "If it'd make me happy, ok." Four of my team members laid hands on him, we prayed and he wept! God can break any chain! -Tim

Shaking people's hands to bless them was a tangible point of contact for the Love of God to be manifested. There were a couple of people that I was led to talk to who are of Jewish background; I was impressed with God using me to share with them about His Word, the prophets who spoke for God and How God backed them up confirming His Word. I witnessed that those particular people were affected by the Word and the Spirit working together. That was pretty good. -Lisette

I had a blast at the outreach; I had never done anything quite like that before, it definitely was an experience that will always be in my remembrance. What touched me the most was the fact that people really are lost without Jesus. There were so many people that I spoke with that just did not have a clue about what and who God really is. It really made me appreciate everything that God has done and continues to do in my life. What also touched me tremendously was the young lady in whom I led to Christ. She didn't quite understand everything I was telling her, but there was something inside of her that knew she needed Jesus. Knowing that I actually helped change someone's life confirms that God can truly use anybody. Thank you again for your obedience to God and letting Him lead you to do this outreach. The Chinese family was very receiving of the Word. Michael and the other Brother spoke to them in Chinese as I prayed. Michael prayed and laid hands on one of the men while the other Brother and I prayed silently. One of the women gave Michael contact information and he shared information with her as well. -Doris

The Lord showed me a precious elderly lady whom I had invited from the street prior to the event. I felt she was to come to the front to receive her healing. In an instant, I found myself leaping off the stage and running up several flights of stairs to her. I felt the Holy Spirit pushing me up the stairs...I ran with ease without stopping, hearing the "Rocky" theme song in my spirit. I invited her to the stage area but she did not have the strength to walk there. The anointing was so thick! Suddenly, I found both my hands on each side of her head praying healing and refreshing over her body. She began to weave back& forth, I opened my eyes and saw Don standing right behind her in case she fell backward. Then I kissed her forehead and told her how much Jesus loved her. I asked her if she wanted to ask Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior and led her into the prayer of faith! It was an amazing divine appointment, just amazing!!! -Colleen

Lady in Tears During an altar call I noticed a lady crying and when I approached her, she fell into my arms sobbing. She said that she never knew God was so good! She felt like a new person, like a light just turned on inside of her, like she just woke up and can see again. She said from this day forward she was going to serve the Lord the rest of her days! I just kept saying, "To God be all the glory, let's give Him all the praise." -Carmen

Angel came up for prayer for the arch of his foot and his shin & I led him to the Lord! Then we prayed for his foot and shin. He got about 70% healing. Christina continued to pray the fire of God on him and he was soaking up the presence of the Lord and thanked us over and over! He was saying "More Holy Spirit" over and over again! -Bob

7 Children Saved Dancing & Worship! Three girls ages 7-9 prayed the sinner's prayer together. Raymond asked about the devil and I shared with him how Jesus has more power than the devil and if he was to get scared or sense the devil to say "Devil, go away in Jesus name" and he will go away. I explained that Jesus lives on the inside of him by the Holy Spirit, so he has the authority in Jesus name as a son to tell the devil to go away. -Bob

I led a 13 year old boy in the prayer of salvation then I asked to place my hand on his knee, he said OK and I prayed three times, (be healed, creative miracle in the knee, casting out the spirit of infirmity. The third time as he was moving it again he said all the pain was gone! He was astounded and said "thank you!" I smiled a huge smile and said "Thank Jesus, He did it!" And Michael, still in shock said "Thank you, Jesus!" -Bob Koo

We prayed for a girl to be healed, delivered and for the fire of God. I had words of encouragement, she would never be the same, see self as brand new and to wake up with no pain, no more, no more! Her face totally changed from sadness and pain to joy and smiling. I saw her again as we were leaving and went and gave her a big hug, she was still smiling! -Bob

As soon as the PRAYER banner was hung, people came into the tent from all directions. They wanted a touch from God, they wanted to hear the word, and they wanted the hope that only Jesus could give them. -Colleen

A lady came in broken...she was hopeless and after she was prayed for and received Jesus, she wanted to live again! -Prayer Tent

A man told me that he wanted to stop drinking, he had cut down but just could not stop completely...he received Jesus and was prayed for. -Prayer Tent

A lady was in a wheel chair and I told her to come for her miracle...she wheeled herself to the stage and after receiving prayer, she got out of the wheelchair and began to walk! She had not walked in over 20 years!!! -Colleen

Woman with back pain with a walking stick, Back pain left her and she has much clarity in her eyes. -Bobs Team

Woman with migraine headache for 20 years felt the migraine pain leave her upon prayer. -Bobs Team

NEWARK, NJ/WEEQUAHIC PARK 62 received the Lord!

The team simply reached out with love and compassion as they shared the message of hope, teams ministered to various people through prayer, words of encouragement, healing, deliverance, the Word, a hug filled with God's love...lives were changed eternally!

Several children along with adults gave their hearts to Jesus after the GOOD NEWS GLOVE show! They ran into the tent to receive prayer and receive their follow-up package.

One team worker lead a man to the Lord...the man left the area and brought with him two more men so that they would receive Jesus too!

Two precious teenage boys received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!

Two homeless men receive prayer and cry out to Jesus for help and get saved!

After testimonies several people responded to the altar call...one man runs to the altar to be delivered from addiction.

Lady in wheelchair stands up and walks! While I prayed for a lady in her wheelchair, in my mind's eye, I saw her skin close up over a hole in her foot which prevented her from walking. I told her that I believed that the Lord had healed her and asked if she could get up and walk. She stood up and began walking back and forth saying she could not walk like that before!!!

Bob Koo and Christina ministered to a lady when suddenly they saw diamond dust fall upon her, she was instantly healed!

BRONX, NY/JESUS FIRST INTERNATIONAL CHURCH 70 received the Lord!

The power of God poured out and men, woman and children gave their lives to Jesus!

PLAINVILLE, CONNECTICUT/NEW LIFE FELLOWSHIP 17 received the Lord!

The presence of God was strong when they came to the altar! While I laid hands on people they were experiencing a touch kiss from the Holy Spirit. Both prophetic words of encouragement were spoken to the new salvations and destiny was spoken over the children's life!

An unmarried teenage couple gives their lives to Jesus! The 17 year old girl is six months pregnant and wants a better life for her child.

A grown man fell on his knees, to be prayed for to receive the Holy Spirit.

A young married mother, in tears, rededicates her life to Jesus!

Little girls and boys and adults weave back and forth after experiencing the presence of the Lord.

QUEENS, NY/TAIWANESE AMERICAN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP 11 received the Lord!

Prior to my message, a lady who was in the final stages or cancer asked for prayer. I anointed her with oil and prayed for her healing.

A Buddhist received Jesus and came to the altar for healing!

The entire room of over 160 people prayed to receive Jesus! But only 11 of them came to the front for prayer and healing. There was an anti-Christ spirit which held back the rest of them from coming to the front.

There was opposition from a lady who was operating under an antichrist spirit, trying to stop people from being touched by the Spirit of God! For those who do not know what this spirit is, it is this: anyone operating under this spirit denies the presence of Christ's anointing!

However, I continued ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit until each person was prayed for, one lady told me that had breast cancer, a man had prostate cancer and other types of cancers were prayed for.

NEWARK, NJ/HOUSING DEVELOPMENT 7 received the Lord!

I prayed for limbs to grow, he busts out in tears.

Gifts of Love were distributed after prayer: a TV, tea pots, coffee pots, pillows, sheets, bedding...were distributed and the people were so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude!

A man who had huge growths on his neck receives prayer for supernatural healing.

We ministered in deliverance to alcoholics and drug addiction.

QUEENS, NY/HOPE RESTORATION CHURCH 4 received the Lord!

A lady came up with bad eyesight, while my hands were over her eyes, the Lord told me to spit on my hands and lay hands back over her eyes...I did not want to do it...but I did and then she told me that she could see better!

I prayed for a girl with a crutch and a leg brace; I was not really sure what happened when I laid hands on her leg. I walked out of the room for a moment, then I heard someone calling me to the stage....she was in the front saying that when I laid hands on her leg she could feel fire. She was standing up there testifying without her crutch!

QUEENS, NY/SHELTER 10 received the Lord!

Several responded to the altar call for prayer.

A lady was delivered from nicotine after being prayed for I told her the Lord wanted to axe a root of something from her life...she began coughing and hacking and screamed, "Nicotine".

We gave Bibles to people that prayed to receive salvation at the table. People were hungry for the word of God and 16 people prayed to receive Jesus. We were talking about the new tract (What Do You Think?) everything is in that tract that we need. -Baiyina

I know from coming to this class the importance of telling the person that God loves them and we all fall short as well as the question, "How sure are you that you will go to heaven?" That is an important question to get the persons attention and it brings them to reality and gentle conviction to know the Lord for themselves. -Kandice

Since I've been taking this class, I find it much easier to talk to somebody about Jesus. When I use the "Specific Question", it shocks people and really makes them think. Before taking the class, I had no idea on how to lead somebody to Jesus. And all I would do was hand out a tract and say, "God bless you." Now, however, I find myself actually getting into conversations with people and flowing in the power of the Holy Spirit. -Asia, 14 years old

One major pattern of evangelism, which I learned in the class, is the "Persuasion Question," "If Jesus Christ comes in five minutes are you sure that He would let you into His heaven?" Also, leading the person to make a decision to receive Christ by saying, "Let's pray the sinner’s prayer". These two steps taught me to be a better evangelist. -Suru

Cruz said he'd have 0% chance to enter heaven today because he had tried to change, but in vain. After the team ministered to him, he and his brother prayed the prayer of salvation. He said he was approached in a respectful way that's why he listened. He would come to church. -Neisha & Opal

This class teaching has allowed me to be bolder in my approach to evangelizing. To be able to ask the question, "If you died right now, what are your chances to enter heaven, 50-80-100%". Also the Romans Road has been helpful to me. -Nichole

An older woman stated that the day after the street outreach she had ministered at the Women's Jail. In the past, she had given several altar calls, this time she preached using what she learned from the class (The Romans Road) and as a result, the women came streaming down the aisle to receive Jesus. -Colleen

THE THREE DOORS “See Three Things God Cannot Do”
One of my best friends I had been witnessing to for at least 3 years accepted Jesus within 20 minutes of the 3-Door and Roman's Road approach! I am more relaxed and encouraged now having been trained.

I set up the Three-Doors evangelistic tool in front of a store. A few people stood before the Three-Doors as I spoke, then a few more came, then a few more, before you knew it there was a huge crowd of people who wanted to pray to receive Jesus. After the gospel was preached I asked everyone to hold hands and then looked over and saw a man standing in the distance with tears in his eyes. I invited him to receive Jesus too and he accepted the invitation. Then three kids skidded near the circle and jumped off their bikes to receive Jesus too. There was about 18-20 people standing outside in front of a general stationary store holding hands and in unison praying the Sinners Prayer! Shortly after that, an entire Youth School came walking our way. I said to myself, "Here they come----to Jesus" and then I began the presentation. Each one huddled together to listen as I shared the Good News. I gave the invitation to receive Jesus and all of 25-30 of them prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. -Colleen
