VARIOUS TESTIMONIES to show many ways God could move through regular disciples who are willing to be trained for evangelism and step out in faith.

    EVANGELISM TRAINING
    Workshops:
"I look forward to my evangelism class it is exciting and Spirit filled. Colleen Wheeler is so excited about the Lord Jesus Christ, seeing her is like looking on an angel happily doing God's work and is like a mist all over you when she starts teaching. Sometimes I think she is going to jump right up off the floor, I love it!" -Anonymous

I was witnessing all my life as led by the Spirit, but the training here has enabled me to know the correct Biblical form for witnessing and the texts from the Bible that will enable me to witness intelligently. -Phyllis

I have learned from this class how to approach people and how to discern whom I approach. I learned what to say to people to lead them to accept Christ, I am very new to this church and this class has been a true blessing for me. -Paula

I have learned not to have fear when approaching people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. I learned that I could share my experience with someone who needs Jesus and that it is not about the number of people I talk to it is about saving souls. I see where God is using me. -Greg

I am less fearful in stepping out and doing my Christian duty in sharing the Gospel. I now have a better idea of how to witness to people in an effective manner, especially since I have a clearer understanding where to lead people to scriptures. I also know more about "breaking the ice" to get a conversation started with a stranger. In all, I feel that I have learned about sharing the Good News from taking this class. -Lavonia

I am bolder in talking to anyone I meet about Christ and am more burdened to see the lost saved. Declare war against Satan to release the lost of the world. -Veama

It just helps me not to be scared about going out, or telling the gospel and truth about God, not ashamed. The pointers are very good too. Thank you Colleen and God Bless, Amen. -Dario

I have been blessed to be bold in the Holy Spirit when telling people about Jesus. What has changed for me is my technique. It is more orderly and has direction. I am able to effectively show people, step-by-step, why they need Jesus. My presentation has become focused. -Kim

Well, this class has shown me a pattern to use so that the message does not get confused or misunderstood. I am not called to uplift myself but am called to share the truth, which is able to set other free. I am inspired to walk boldly and know that God's Word is alive and able to change my life or situations. -Dorella

Classroom/Bethel Bible Institute by Colleen Wheeler
A woman was so encouraged by what she learned in the class that she and her husband, who is a Pastor, are now going to start an Evangelism Team at their church!

One woman shared that the Lord told her to look at the face of each person and whatever the persons face said that she was to speak life to them. If they looked stressed, she would say, "The Lord's peace be with you." If they looked sad, she would say… This method helped the receptivity when she handed the person tract.

A few students were able to use their testimony as an opening to share the gospel.

One woman told the class that she normally was more comfortable in friendship evangelism at her job and could never imagine going out on the street and talk to people that she did not know, afterwards she admitted that she could not wait for the next outreach!

Another woman was so encouraged after the outreach that she went home and placed tracts on all of her children's beds.

    EVANGELISM TOOLS

“What do you think?” tract - (buy tract>>)

We gave Bibles to people that prayed to receive salvation at the table. People were hungry for the word of God and 16 people prayed to receive Jesus. We were talking about the new tract (What Do You Think?) everything is in that tract that we need. -Baiyina

I know from coming to this class the importance of telling the person that God loves them and we all fall short as well as the question, "How sure are you that you will go to heaven?" That is an important question to get the persons attention and it brings them to reality and gentle conviction to know the Lord for themselves. -Kandice

Since I've been taking this class, I find it much easier to talk to somebody about Jesus. When I use the "Specific Question", it shocks people and really makes them think. Before taking the class, I had no idea on how to lead somebody to Jesus. And all I would do was hand out a tract and say, "God bless you." Now, however, I find myself actually getting into conversations with people and flowing in the power of the Holy Spirit. -Asia, 14 years old

One major pattern of evangelism, which I learned in the class, is the "Persuasion Question," "If Jesus Christ comes in five minutes are you sure that He would let you into His heaven?" Also, leading the person to make a decision to receive Christ by saying, "Let's pray the sinner’s prayer". These two steps taught me to be a better evangelist. -Suru

Cruz said he'd have 0% chance to enter heaven today because he had tried to change, but in vain. After the team ministered to him, he and his brother prayed the prayer of salvation. He said he was approached in a respectful way that's why he listened. He would come to church. -Neisha & Opal

This class teaching has allowed me to be bolder in my approach to evangelizing. To be able to ask the question, "If you died right now, what are your chances to enter heaven, 50-80-100%". Also the Romans Road has been helpful to me. -Nichole

    The Romans Road
An older woman stated that the day after the street outreach she had ministered at the Women's Jail. In the past, she had given several altar calls, this time she preached using what she learned from the class (The Romans Road) and as a result, the women came streaming down the aisle to receive Jesus. -Colleen

The Three Doors “See Three Things God Cannot Do”
One of my best friends I had been witnessing to for at least 3 years accepted Jesus within 20 minutes of the 3-Door and Roman's Road approach! I am more relaxed and encouraged now having been trained.
    -Brad

I set up the Three-Doors evangelistic tool in front of a store. A few people stood before the Three-Doors as I spoke, then a few more came, then a few more, before you knew it there was a huge crowd of people who wanted to pray to receive Jesus. After the gospel was preached I asked everyone to hold hands and then looked over and saw a man standing in the distance with tears in his eyes. I invited him to receive Jesus too and he accepted the invitation. Then three kids skidded near the circle and jumped off their bikes to receive Jesus too. There was about 18-20 people standing outside in front of a general stationary store holding hands and in unison praying the Sinners Prayer!

Shortly after that, an entire Youth School came walking our way. I said to myself, "Here they come----to Jesus" and then I began the presentation. Each one huddled together to listen as I shared the Good News. I gave the invitation to receive Jesus and all of 25-30 of them prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. -Colleen

"When I found out that we were being assigned to spread the Gospel at Parsons Blvd. Subway Station, I panicked. I thought, "Oh God in the name of Jesus please give me boldness and courage." I was so frightened because I am shy and thought we might get cursed out and I hate rejection. When I started giving out the tracts and watched how the people showed an interest in the word of God, I felt no fear. I was so happy and proud of how God was moving on that street corner." -Yvonne

    Flea Market
"We encountered a Chinese College student whom stumbled upon our table as he was going to register for college. He was open to hearing about Jesus and received Him joyfully. It was so awesome to see how much he wanted the Lord, and I was happy knowing that he would be followed up by a Chinese Christian and folded into a church where he could continue to grow." -Paula

    Home
"There was a young mother who was assigned to take care of my eighty-five year old mother-in law in my home. This caretaker started to talk to me and the Holy Spirit urged me to listen to what she had to say. She was in troubled, confused and fearful not knowing where to go and who to turn to. I shared the gospel with her and she admitted that she was a sinner and said that she was a bad one too. She responded and prayed to receive Jesus. Her face lit up and said she that she was no longer depressed."
    -Ralph

Two teenagers were cursing, we talked to them about Christ and used the "Free Food" to get them to the tent and both received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. -Junior

There was a gentleman who was drinking, just started for the day, he was yelling. Then I said, "God loves you" and that changed everything, he knew Michelle and Rufus and he accepted Jesus. -Ester

How would you say the receptivity to the word was today? "Yes they were interested." We need to go back to visit, six people prayed to receive Jesus! -Ruben, Hiraldo, George & Many

Alan and I led one person to accept Christ and two people agreed to come to church on Sunday. -Joseph

    The Mall

“A mighty move of God swept through the MALL AREA today, it was one of the most awesome days in evangelism that I have experienced in a long while.” -Colleen

    From the Car
We rolled down the window and asked, "Excuse me, do you know how to get to heaven from here?" Then answered, "Jesus does,” then we gave them a tract. -Colleen

We drove led by the Spirit and ended up in a drug-infested area. I grabbed the speaker and microphone out from my trunk and began to preach while the team talked to people and gave tracts. One person prayed to receive Jesus many others listened to the word. -Colleen

    A Restaurant Outreach
"I saw Jesus working through His disciples--His brothers and sisters--and touching the lives of others in ways, which alternately mystified them, challenged them, and yet blessed them. There was relational evangelism taking place as people fellowshipped with one another. When I spoke to some who raised their hands to receive Jesus they spoke about how much it meant to have us connect to them--and that they wanted our source of joy. Moreover, there were those who asked real questions about Jesus in the wake of the evening--and I was blessed to see that things were being "churned up" in their hearts and minds." -Carrie

"There were many times that I was on the other side receiving Christ. It made me feel good to give something back by putting on the skit about forgiveness." -Desiree

"I sat and fellowshipped with a man and woman from the hotel. They both responded, with tears streaming down their face, to the salvation message. They were overjoyed to receive the Bible and other gift we gave to them. The evangelistic outreach was a great joy. It was a blessing to be working alongside the dedicated volunteers." -Roseanne
